Hey there, Reader,
April always feels like a funny mix of things; flowers blooming, birds chirping, taxes (bleh), and Earth Month. It's a time to celebrate our truly beautiful planet and focus on how we can make it better.
But sometimes Earth Month doesn’t always feel light or inspiring to me. It can feel heavy.
When I studied conservation in college, I remember coming home many days feeling completely defeated. One day, a housemate asked what was wrong, and I told her I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. Like I was supposed to fix something impossibly big with no clear way to do it. I felt totally helpless.
Ice caps melting. Rainforests disappearing. Overfishing. Industrial agriculture. You know the list. it’s long.
Earth Month started to feel less like celebration, and instead, more like pressure. I’d think, am I doing enough? Does any of this even matter?
I’ve combed through my own personal habits year after year to reduce my carbon footprint, from upcycling clothes, to buying from the farmers' market and reducing plastic in all aspects of life. And I’ll keep striving to reduce my personal impact, every day.
But this year, I’m approaching my impact differently.
⭐ Instead of asking “how can I reduce my impact?” I’m asking: how can I amplify the good stuff with the skills I already have?
What if it’s not just about reducing the bad, but amplifying the good? And how can I use my unique skills and resources to do so?
Amplifying the people who are restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and doing things differently with care, creativity and intention.
Because real change doesn’t only comes not just from doing less “bad,” it also comes from growing more of what we actually want to see in the world.
And that shift has felt a lot more energizing and doable.
⭐ So for this month, I'm offering support for those doing good with a new initiative I’m calling the Humm Forward Project!
This year, I’m offering a free brand clarity session and logo design for one nonprofit or purpose-driven organization doing good in the world.
This initiative is for those who:
Are pouring energy into their mission but struggling to make it visible
Need a professional, cohesive brand but don’t have the resources
Want to attract the right supporters and audience for their mission
Are a US-based registered nonprofit or purpose-driven business
I don’t think that design alone “saves the planet,” but it can be a part of supporting those doing meaningful work so they can be seen and amplified.
If you are or know someone who would be qualified to apply, please spread the word and share this email to stay tuned!
⭐ Applications will open on April 30th, 2026, so stay tuned!

What I'm Into lately:
→ WOMEN IN NATURE: I shared what I learned at Flash Foxy Climbing Festival, a women's climbing festival in the Eastern Sierra, California (one of my ultimate fav places in the world!). Climbing + women + nature = the best.
→ SHARING THE LOVE: One of the ways I work to amplify the good is through my membership with 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses committed to giving back to environmental causes. This year I donated to local and global organizations doing good for people and planet. It’s a small, consistent way to contribute and to stay in relationship with something bigger than myself.
→ FEMALE CHANGE-MAKERS: I had the opportunity to attend the Goldman Environmental Prize (on of my amazing clients!) ceremony last night in San Francisco, celebrating an all-female selection of grassroots environmental leadership from around the world. Talk about inspiring!
I develop soulful, handcrafted brand identities for female entrepreneurs who are building something meaningful in the world, helping them share their mission authentically and resonate deeply with their people.
